Illinois State Society Honors Poet Laureate Feb. 16

The Illinois State Society of Washington, DC will honor the life of former Illinois Poet Laureate Gwendolyn Brooks (1917-2000) in a restrospective on her poems on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 AM.  The event will be held at the Thurgood Marshall Center for Service and Heritage located at 1816 12th Street, NW.
